[Official] Felipe Caicedo Is The New Player For Abha FC

Felipe Caicedo is officially a new player for Abha FC, which plays in the Saudi professional league, the highest level of Saudi football.

Felipe Caicedo signed a three-year permanent deal with Genoa last August after four seasons with Lazio. After a good start to the first half of the season at Genoa, Caicedo spent six months on loan at Inter reunited with former coach Simone Inzaghi.

However, he only played three games with Inter Milan, all coming off the bench. The 33-year-old played just 106 minutes, neither scoring nor assisting.

Due to the relegation, Genoa terminated Caicedo's contract, making him a free agent, although he still has two years left on his contract.

As a result, Abha managed to sign Caicedo on a free transfer. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the former Biancoceleste striker has signed a one-year deal for €5m.

On the afternoon of August 28, 2022, his new club officially introduced Caicedo through a video posted on social networks.

"The club is delighted to announce the signing of Ecuadorian striker Felipe Caicedo," Abha said in a statement.
