Pellegrini Must Still Convince Sarri To Make Him A Regular At Lazio

Luca Pellegrini was recruited by Lazio in the January transfer market and is currently attempting to adapt to the Sarri system in time to compete in Lazio's lineup.

Last January, Lazio only made one significant signing, Luca Pellegrini, they hope he will quickly assimilate into Sarri's system.  The 23-year-old Italian is taking part in a six-month loan with an option to purchase embedded in his contract.

Pellegrini spent the first half of the season on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt where he made 14 appearances in all competitions.  As reported by Corriere dello Sport, the defender currently has a difficult task of quickly assimilating into Sarri's system at Biancoceleste because he lacks the pre-season advantage of his other teammates.

The 23-year-old player will have to work hard to understand his system and tactics once the team starts playing one or two games a week from now until next summer. One advantage is that he worked even briefly with Sarri at Juventus before he was loaned to Cagliari.

In The Aquile's squad, Pellegrini will compete for the left-back position with Elseid Hysaj and Adam Marusic, and the coach has stated that he will not start a player who signed in January unless he can adapt quickly.
