Como Plan Ambitious Serie A Return With Fabregas Targeting Modric And Pedro

Como are receiving numerous market suggestions for their return to Serie A. Following their direct promotion on the last day, the Lombard club has already started planning for the future and the upcoming season. Cesc Fabregas is reportedly planning a sensational double transfer for Como ahead of their Serie A comeback.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Como will hold a summit in London next week to finalize their budget and strategies for the upcoming transfer campaign. It was reported that Fabregas aims to recruit a former teammate and an old rival to help Como compete in Serie A next season. Fabregas remains significantly involved with the club, both as a first-team coach and stakeholder, alongside his former Arsenal teammate Thierry Henry.

In pursuit of at least one reinforcement for each department and experienced players familiar with Serie A, Fabregas is eager to sign veteran midfielder Luka Modric, who is expected to leave Real Madrid once his contract expires at the end of the season. Additionally, Fabregas has also reportedly contacted Lazio winger Pedro. The two were teammates at Barcelona, and Pedro's contract, who will turn 37 in July, will expire in June 2025.
