Lazio Linked With Nicolò Tresoldi, But Summer Move Looks Difficult

Lazio have reportedly joined the list of clubs interested in Nicolò Tresoldi, one of the young strikers attracting growing attention in Europe.

According to reports from Germany, the Biancoceleste are among the teams keeping an eye on the Club Brugge forward, a player who is already being followed by several major clubs. Tresoldi, born in 2004, is seen as one of the most interesting attacking talents currently on the market, and the race around him appears to be becoming more intense.

Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen have reportedly monitored him closely for some time and have even watched him live during European matches. Other German clubs such as Eintracht Frankfurt and Stuttgart are also said to be in the picture. In Italy, meanwhile, AC Milan and Atalanta have both been linked with the striker as well.

For Lazio, however, this is not a straightforward situation.

Club Brugge are believed to value Tresoldi at around €20 million to €25 million, a figure that already makes any possible move difficult. For Lazio, the issue is not only the price, but also the current structure of the squad, especially in attack.

The capital club already invested in that department during the January window. Ratkov arrived from Salzburg for around €14 million, while Maldini joined on loan from Atalanta with an option to buy. On top of that, Lazio are also expected to pay €11 million to Salernitana this summer in order to complete the permanent signing of Dia.

When these numbers are placed together, it becomes clear why a move for Tresoldi would be complicated. Lazio may admire the player and appreciate his potential, but another major investment in the attacking line would require both financial space and a clear strategic decision.

There is also another detail that should not be ignored. In Italy, Tresoldi is believed to have a special preference for AC Milan. Reports suggest that the player has spoken positively about the Rossoneri in the past and has described himself as a fan of the club. If Milan were to push seriously for him, that personal factor could become important.

At this stage, Lazio’s interest should be viewed with caution. The club may be following the player, as many others are, but turning admiration into a real negotiation is a very different matter. The competition is strong, the asking price is high, and Lazio’s attacking department is already full of recent additions and pending commitments.

For now, Tresoldi remains a name to watch rather than a truly concrete target. Lazio are present in the conversation, but unless the market changes significantly in the coming months, this looks more like a difficult opportunity than an imminent deal.
