[Europa League] Galatasaray - Lazio = 1 - 0

Lazio failed to win after losing 0-1 to representatives of Turkey, Galatasaray in the Europa League, Thursday night (16/9/21).  The only goal was scored by Lazio goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha's own goal.

Visiting Turkey, Lazio came down with the best squad by relying on Ciro Immobile and Luis Alberto.  Meanwhile, Galatasaray fielded young players on the front lines such as Halil Dervisoglu and Alexandru Cicaldau.

Fatih Terim's squad several times threatened Lazio's goal in the first half but did not produce any results.  On the other hand, Ciro Immobile and others have not been able to penetrate the tight Galatasaray defense guarded by former Lazio goalkeeper, Fernando Muslera.  The first-half score ended 0-0.

In the second half, Lazio and Galatasaray continued to exchange attacks.  But the new goal was created in the 66th minute.  Starting from the movement on the right side of Galatasaray, Morutan's cross failed to be anticipated by Lazio defender, Lazzari.  Lazzari sent a wild ball which also failed to be anticipated by goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha.  Score 1-0 for Galatasaray's advantage.

Until the long whistle sounded, no more goals were created.  Galatasaray successfully won 3 points at home.  While Lazio continued their bad trend after losing to AC Milan in the Italian League.
