Immobile: "I'm Happy To Hear The Speech From The President, We Are A Big Family And A Father Sometimes Uses Harsh Words. We Have To Do Better, Now We Have To Prove It."


Lazio striker, Ciro Immobile has revealed that president Claudio Lotito's frustration and disappointment over the team's poor result is justified. He called for The Aquile to get up and prove themselves.


31-year-old Italian striker Ciro Immobile discusses Lazio president Claudio Lotito's speech at the Christmas dinner hosted by the Italian capital team on Tuesday (14/12) evening local time. Lotito encouraged his team to get up and move forward.


"I'm happy to hear the speech from the president because of his renewed confidence in the coach, not because we need him, but hearing it directly from him feels even better," the striker said via LazioNews24.


"The team can concentrate completely on the pitch and not think about anything else, this is the first time this has happened to me, we are a big family and a father sometimes uses harsh words."


He then commented on the support from the fans and Lazio had to step up on the pitch to pay for the support.


"We always expect support from the fans, we have to repay it, people want to be happy, they supported us from start to finish in all our away games, we have to do better, now we have to prove it," he said.


"I remain convinced, we all have to get back to the same boat soon. I want to send my regards to my family who wants to watch us and I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, wishing all of us lots of success."


The 31-year-old striker, Immobile, who is under contract with the Biancoceleste until 2026, has shown impressive performances under coach Maurizio Sarri. He has made 21 appearances in all competitions in all competitions this season for a total of 1709 minutes. In that period he has scored 16 goals and contributed two assists and is still a mainstay in his team's attack line.
