Lazio full-back, Elseid Hysaj is rumored to be undergoing further medical examinations after he suffered an injury during his team's 3-1 win over Genoa in the Serie A match which took place last Friday (17/12) night.

According to reports by Italian newspaper Il Messaggero, 27-year-old Albanian left-back Elseid Hysaj suffered a right adductor injury in Lazio's win over Genoa and had to be replaced in the 63rd minute by Stefan Radu.

It is further reported that Hysaj's condition will be fully examined in the next few days and there is a possibility that he will miss Biancoceleste's match against Venezia which will take place on Wednesday night next week.

The 27-year-old who has a contract with the Biancoceleste until 2025 has made 22 appearances in all competitions so far in the 2021/22 season, playing 1825 minutes in total. He has contributed one goal and helped his team adapt to the system implemented by coach Maurizio Sarri.

The Albanian full-back worked with the 62-year-old Italian for many years in the Empoli and Napoli squads. Meanwhile, the victory over the Rossoblu sent The Aquile up to the eighth position in the Serie A standings with a collection of 28 points from 18 matches played. The capital team will then travel to Venice in their final game of 2021 before the Christmas break.
