Mancini Impressed With Zaccagni's Performance Against Bologna


Lazio midfielder, Mattia Zaccagni showed an impressive performance to Italy coach Roberto Mancini in the 3-0 win over Bologna in the match which took place on Saturday (12/02).


As reported by the newspaper Corriere dello Sport, 26-year-old Italian midfielder Mattia Zaccagni showed a strong performance in Lazio's win over Bologna which was witnessed by Roberto Mancini who was present at the Stadio Olimpico.


Zaccagni has finally adapted to the Biancoceleste and has quickly become one of coach Maurizio Sarri's regular, the midfielder consistently performing to a high standard and working hard to learn as much as possible.


The Italian midfielder's performance has reportedly impressed Mancini who is considering calling him up for the Azzuri in the World Cup play-off match against North Macedonia.  The former Hellas Verona player was also recently called up to a training camp with the national team last month.


Meanwhile, he has scored four goals and contributed six assists in 19 appearances in Serie A this season in impressive form after recovering from various injuries.


In the match against the Rossoblu, the midfielder contributed two goals in The Aquile's 3-0 win over the Rossoblu which further strengthened their position in sixth place in the Serie A standings with a collection of 42 points from 25 matches played so far.
