Ultras: "We Have To Protest In The Stadium, At The Training Ground, In Person. From Expensive Ticket Prices To Effectively Weakening The Squad In The Winter Transfer Window!"

February 03, 2022

Maurizio Sarri is not the only one who is angry with Lazio's transfer activity this January, as their die-hard fans, Ultras have also announced a protest against the transfer strategy adopted by their beloved club which they find ridiculous and reckless.

It was previously reported that coach Maurizio Sarri was angry that the lack of additional players had been brought in unlike his request because The Aquile only recruited Jovane Cabral on loan from Sporting CP with an option to buy for 9 million euros.

Meanwhile, they loaned Vedat Muriqi to Mallorca, Mohamed Fares to Torino, Denis Vavro to FC Copenhagen, Gonzalo Escalante to Alaves, Jony to Sporting Gijon, Bobby Adekanye to Crotone, and Riza Durmisi to Sparta Rotterdam.

Instead of bringing in a backup striker for Ciro Immobile, they let the Italian player lead the Aquile attack alone.  Ultras Biancoceleste also released a statement warning that they will hold a protest at Formello's training ground on Thursday (03/02) afternoon.

"We have to protest in the stadium, at the training ground, in person and not just writing through social media," read a statement as quoted by Football-Italia.

"We have to sit down and look at the ridiculous and sloppy transfer market inspired by projects that don't exist."

"Lazio belongs to us and not to those who lead the club!  A rally will be held on February 3rd at 13:00 outside the gates of Formello to voice all our disgust at a club that doesn't care about its fans!"

"From expensive ticket prices to effectively weakening the squad in the winter transfer window!"

"Never back down…Give up Lazio!"
