Nicolo Casale Become Milan And Lazio Target This Summer

Lazio and Milan are reportedly preparing to sign Hellas Verona defender Nicolo Casale in the summer market.  The two Serie A giants are ready to fight each other to secure the services of their target players.

In the January transfer window, several clubs in Italy had approached Hellas Verona to inquire about the availability of Italian center-back Nicolo Casale but they made it clear that they did not want to lose players mid-season.

According to reports by Calciomercato.com, Milan and Lazio have also been notified of the situation and allowed to renew their offers in the summer, something they have planned.  The Rossoneri know they have to strengthen their defense and the Biancoceleste have also been scouting the defender's actions for a long time and believe he could be the perfect choice in Maurizio Sarri's system at Rome.

The Aquile tried and finalized Casale's contract deal last January although he remained at Verona on loan, but those plans did not come to fruition, leaving them empty-handed.  They will try it again in the next few months but they have to be ready to compete with the Rossoneri this time.

For now, Maurizio Sarri's side still has two options at center-back in Francesco Acerbi and Luiz Felipe, but the future of both players is in doubt at the Olimpico.  The former has a poor relationship with the club's supporters while the Brazilian-born defender has reportedly struck a deal with La Liga side Real Betis after his contract at the Olimpico was not renewed.
