Atalanta Have Renewed Carnesecchi's Contract And Put A "Not For Sale" Label

Marco Carnesecchi has renewed with Atalanta. The goalkeeper, born in 2000, has been a major player in this season's loan spell at Cremonese, with the Nerazzurri extending his contract until 2026. It's all done, just the official status is missing.

Atalanta wasted no time on Marco Carnesecchi, who will also be their goalkeeper of the future. According to a report from Tuttomercato.web, Atalanta has renewed the contract of goalkeeper Marco Carnesecchi.

He is from the Cesena youth academy and played for Atalanta U19s before being loaned out to Trapani. His name has retaliated in recent weeks after being promoted alongside Cremonese as a potential low-cost market coup. He has been the target of many Serie A clubs, including Lazio and Napoli. Atalanta didn't want to lose him anytime soon, so they extended his contract until 2026.

It remains to be seen whether he will stay in Bergamo next season or be loaned back to continue his growth path. Atalanta would prefer a starting position to allow him to gain more experience and therefore has not ruled out a loan contract extension with Cremonese.

Therefore, Lazio can only acquire his service through a loan contract for next season, if they want him to replace Strakosha as their No. 1 goalkeeper.
