It was reported last week that Strakosha would join Premier League giants Manchester United. Coincidentally, Manchester United has just sent Dean Henderson to Nottingham Forest and manager Erik ten Hag needs Strakosha as United's third goalkeeper, behind David De Gea and Tom Heaton.
However, Strakosha's move to Manchester United was unsuccessful. According to Sky Sports Italia, the goalkeeper is currently close to a move to another Premier League club, Brentford.
The 27-year-old goalkeeper is said to have set foot in England and immediately underwent a medical at Brentford in the middle of this week.
Strakosha played in 208 games for Lazio, keeping a clean sheet in 62 of those matches. He received four titles as a player of the biancoceleste, winning 2x Italian Super Cups (2017 and 2019) and 2x Coppa Italia titles (2013 and 2019).
