Lazio Is Preparing A New Contract For Danilo Cataldi

Lazio is reportedly discussing a contract extension for their academy product Danilo Cataldi, who remains loyal to the Italian capital's club. The midfielder is considered even more impressive during the Maurizio Sarri era.

Lazio is aiming to negotiate a new deal with local player Danilo Cataldi, who has spent most of his career at the capital club. The 28-year-old Italian midfielder is a product of Lazio's academy and one of the few players in the squad to be born and raised in the Italian capital, a Lazio fan since birth.

Cataldi struggled to perform at his best under manager Simone Inzaghi before but has since become a key player in the Maurizio Sarri era, proving to be a consistent and talented midfielder.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the 28-year-old midfielder has already shown his quality at Lazio during the Sarri era, with his current contract due to expire in 2024 and the club looking to link him with a new one.

The 28-year-old has a good working relationship with The Aquile’s management and Sarri trusts him completely. This makes it likely that the club will quickly agree to a new contract after the World Cup next month.

The midfielder is currently preparing with his team for their upcoming match against Atalanta in Serie A after their previous match ended in a 0-0 draw with Udinese.
