Sarri: "We Need An Immobile's Reserve. Cancellieri And Immobile Have Different Characteristics."

Maurizio Sarri commented on the difficulties Lazio will face due to the absence of the main striker, Ciro Immobile due to injury and the solutions that the Italian capital club will have to overcome.

Lazio striker Immobile appeared to suffer a hamstring injury in the 29th minute of last Sunday's 0-0 draw with Udinese. Losing his serve was a huge loss for Aquile, who struggled to find a positive result without the captain on the field.

Coach Maurizio Sarri talks about Immobile's injury.

"It's hard to find a backup player who has a score like him. The absence of a player like him always has an impact. We have to do as little as possible, and it's going to be a huge loss for sure," said the coach via LaLazioSiamoNoi.

The coach also explained the severity of the 32-year-old striker's injury.

"We're going to have to wait, I don't think it's as serious as you think. Sometimes you talk to a player who tells him he has a fracture and it turns out to be a first-degree injury and vice versa. When discussing a muscle injury, an examination must be carried out first because it's hard to predict," he explained.

The Biancoceleste have not signed a backup striker this summer, and the 63-year-old has also spoken about it.

"We need an Immobile's reserve, and if it were up to me, we could spend a billion, the market is made up of many factors: the needs of the coach and the business budget."

He then discussed the possibility of using Matteo Cancellieri to replace the injured Immobile.

"Cancellieri and Immobile have different characteristics. When Ciro was injured, I wanted to get clues from the opposing defenders, if you think Cancellieri can do what Immobile can do, that's too far from reality."
