Parisi Is Back On Lazio’s Summer Radar, With Moves Dependent On Tavares And Pellegrini

With the 2025 summer transfer window heating up, Lazio are already making moves to strengthen their squad—particularly on the left side of defense. One name that has quickly moved to the top of the club’s wishlist is Fabiano Parisi, currently with Fiorentina, according to reports from Corriere dello Sport.

Lazio’s renewed interest in Parisi comes as Maurizio Sarri officially returns to the Stadio Olimpico helm. Sarri’s comeback has prompted immediate and strategic discussions with club management regarding new signings, with Parisi singled out as a priority reinforcement for the left-back position. Sarri has previously admired the young full-back, having tracked his progress since his days at Empoli.

Parisi’s name is not new in Formello circles. In fact, Lazio had already tried to secure his services in January, proposing a swap deal involving Luca Pellegrini, but negotiations ultimately stalled. Now, the scenario has changed. Pellegrini, who looked set to depart had Baroni remained as head coach, could have a different fate under Sarri, with whom he enjoys a strong working relationship.

Meanwhile, the situation surrounding Nuno Tavares—recently brought back to Arsenal by his parent club—adds another layer of uncertainty to Lazio’s defensive plans. The Biancoceleste must first finalize the futures of both Tavares and Pellegrini before moving decisively for a new left-back.

Should a deal for Parisi not materialize, Junior Firpo of Leeds is reportedly being considered as an alternative. Nevertheless, Parisi remains the favored option, especially given Sarri’s preference for technically gifted and tactically astute wide players.

As Lazio prepare for the new season under Sarri’s leadership, securing a dynamic and reliable left-back is viewed as a fundamental step. With Parisi once again on their radar, fans can expect continued developments in what promises to be an eventful summer transfer campaign for the Biancoceleste.
