Lazio Is Keeping A Close Eye On Gerardo Arteaga

As far as reinforcements at left-back are concerned, the biancoceleste are keeping a close eye on Gerardo Arteaga, currently at Genk.

With the World Cup in Qatar just starting, Lazio is already preparing for the winter transfer market to ensure Sarri has the right squad for the remainder of the season. For the full-back role, Biancoceleste will consider a player from Belgium, particularly Genk's Gerardo Arteaga.

According to reports from Il Messaggero, Lazio is very interested in him because he fits the profile of the player they are looking for and because his contract expires next June and he is worth around €5 million. The player is represented by You First, who also manages their player Luis Alberto.

Now, Arteaga is currently part of Mexico's World Cup squad in Qatar, where he has yet to feature. He traveled to the tournament in fine form from Genk, where he was the first-choice left-back, scoring 2 goals and 1 assist in 16 appearances so far. He has been spotted by Villarreal, Getafe, and Brighton in the past. However, first of all, Lazio must raise funds to obtain 5 million to deal with the liquidity index.
