[Official] Another Lazio's Legend Passed Away At Age Of 53


Serbian legendary player, Sinisa Mihajlovic, who spent the majority of his career in the Italian League, has passed away at the age of 53 due to blood cancer.


Sinisa Mihajlovic died of blood cancer or leukemia in Rome, Italy, on Friday (16/12/2022). Sinisa Mihajlovic has been afflicted with the disease since 2019. Sinisa Mihajlovic was declared cured of his blood cancer, but the disease returned in March 2022.

Sinisa Mihajlovic spent the majority of his career in the Italian Serie A.


The player who defended Yugoslavia (Serbia's old name) represented AS Roma from 1992-1994. After that, Mihajlovic moved to Sampdoria (1994-1998), Lazio (1998-2004), and Inter Milan (2004-2006).


Mihajlovic achieved success at Lazio in the Italian League in 2000, the Coppa Italia (2000 and 2004), the Winners Cup (1999), and the European Super Cup in 1999.
