[Serie A] Hellas Verona - Lazio = 1 - 1


Lazio failed to rise to third place in the Italian League standings, after Hellas Verona held Lazio to a 1-1 draw in the 21st giornata Italian League match at the Marcantonio Bentegodi Stadium, Verona.


The second consecutive draw only keeps Lazio in fourth place with 39 points.  Verona also failed to leave the red zone, instead, they remained in it, which is 18th in the Italian League with 14 points, according to the official website.


Lazio led first at the end of the first round. Pedro's goal gave the visitors the advantage.  The former Barcelona player scored with his left foot against Verona, the pass was from Danilo Cataldi.  The 1-0 lead for Lazio lasted until the first half was over.


However, Lazio failed to maintain their lead until the match was complete after their goal was broken into by Cyril Ngonge when the second half had only begun for six minutes.  The Belgian striker scored with a header from Darko Lazovic's cross.


Despite being more dominant, Lazio failed to score more. Maurizio Sarri's team performed poorly. Despite dominating the game, they only managed two shots on goal. Meanwhile, Verona had four shots on goal.
