March 07, 2023

Lazio's Ciro Immobile will be out for around two weeks with a knee injury, this will prevent him from playing in his next two games and will keep him out of the Rome derby before the international break, reports the Gazzetta.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Immobile injured the flexor in his right thigh. He was hurt during the 1-0 win over Napoli on Friday at the Stadio Maradona, he didn't participate in the team's training on Sunday.

The report stated that Immobile will have a new test soon, but will need to rest now.

He is not expected to participate in the Conference League fixture against AZ Alkmaar on Tuesday and is likely to miss the next Serie A match against Bologna

Gazzetta also reports that this new injury means Immobile is in a doubt for the Rome derby in two weeks, while Sky Sport Italia reports on the experienced striker's potential return against Bologna.

Immobile, 33, has missed 10 games through injury this season but has scored 11 goals in 27 appearances in all competitions.
