Lotito Is Trying To Hijack Giuntoli From Juventus Pursuit

As reported by Il Messaggero, following the meeting between Sarri and Lotito, the search for a successor to the position of sports director at Lazio has begun. The Biancoceleste coach previously recommended Giuntoli to the president to initiate his project: today, the second thought, Lotito was given the contact numbers of Giuntoli and his right-hand man Pompilio.

In reality, both parties have already agreed to join Juventus, but De Laurentiis has no intention of releasing them (there is a contract that runs until 2024, along with compensation for departure and the Scudetto prize at stake) for the Turin destination.  Giuntoli told him that he no longer needed to remain in Naples, but Aurelio has no intention of letting him depart to their primary rival, Juventus.

Now remaining at Lazio, Tare would have to agree to a later or smaller contract than the 1.2 million he received. However, Lotito appears to be moving closer and closer toward Sarri. Not surprisingly, he has already unofficially scheduled Auronzo's retreat with his staff from July 11 to July 28, presumably with the 4-5 promised reinforcements already in hand.
