[Official] Inter Milan Had Announced The Purchase Of Acerbi From Lazio

Inter Milan's official statement announced that they had exercised the option to activate the purchase of Francesco Acerbi this summer.

The experienced defender has been a part of the Nerazzurri this past summer as a loan from Lazio.  Inter Milan had the option of keeping the player for life, they chose to utilize that option.

The club announced in a concise statement that was published on the club's official website.

"FC Internazionale Milano announces that it has exercised the option to make Francesco Acerbi's contract with Lazio permanent," read a statement on the club's website.

The 35-year-old has been granted a permanent contract after a successful first season at the Giuseppe Meazza.

The Italian has demonstrated that he is a dependable defender.  He took over his fellow player Stefan de Vrij's position at the heart of the defense in the 3-back formation of Simone Inzaghi.

Despite his age, he is a capable center-back. He also plays for the Italian national team regularly.

He also made 49 appearances for the Nerazzurri in all competitions last season, scoring once and assisting once.  He only accumulated five yellow cards.
