[Official] Kerkez Chooses Bournemouth As His New Club After Lazio Failed To Reach An Agreement With AZ Alkmaar

The signing of the highly promising left-back Milos Kerkez, who has showcased his talents while playing for AZ Alkmaar, has been officially confirmed by AFC Bournemouth.

Adding to AS Roma's Justin Kluivert and Lyon's Romain Faivre, Milos Kerkez joins the club as their third signing of the summer.

Kerkez, widely regarded as one of the most highly sought-after full-backs in Europe, decided to join the Premier League, turning down a potential move to Lazio, a team that competes in the Champions League. It had been rumored that Lazio had reached an agreement on personal terms with Kerkez, but ultimately, they were unable to agree with AZ Alkmaar.

Born and raised in Serbia, Kerkez built his career with ETO FC Győr, a prominent team in the Hungarian second division.

In 2021, he decided to join AC Milan's Primavera youth team, one of the renowned football clubs in Italy. The club's technical director, Paolo Maldini, played a pivotal role in convincing him to make this move.

In January 2022, Kerkez became a player of AZ Alkmaar. Throughout the previous season, Kerkez played in 52 matches across various competitions, contributing five goals and seven assists. As a result of their efforts, the team advanced to the semifinals of the Europa Conference League.
