Lazio Target Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Luca Netz As Part Of Planned Full-Back Overhaul

Lazio are reportedly preparing for a major reshuffle in their full-back department this summer, with Borussia Monchengladbach's promising young defender Luca Netz emerging as a top target to reinforce the squad.

According to LaLazioSiamoNoi, no full-back at the club is guaranteed to remain beyond the upcoming transfer window. While Nuno Tavares is set to make his move from Arsenal permanent, Lazio are open to offers for the Portuguese defender and would consider selling him if a bid of around €42 million arrives.

The futures of Manuel Lazzari, Elseid Hysaj, and Luca Pellegrini also hang in the balance, while Adam Marusic is reportedly unhappy with his automatic contract extension, as he expected a new deal with improved wages.

Amid this uncertainty, Lazio have begun scouting for new options and have identified Luca Netz as a strong candidate. The 21-year-old, a product of Hertha Berlin's academy, has been with Gladbach since 2021 and is praised for his versatility and ability to contribute on both ends of the pitch. Despite his youth, Netz has already made over 100 Bundesliga appearances and has tallied one goal and two assists in 24 matches this season.

Netz is not considered untouchable at Gladbach, where Lukas Ullrich is currently favored by coach Gerardo Seoane. As a result, the Berlin-born defender could be available for under €10 million, making him a viable and cost-effective option for Lazio’s summer rebuild.
