Callejon's Agent Responds To Lazio's Interest In This Summer

The agent of Fiorentina's winger, Jose Maria Callejon, confirmed that Lazio had never contacted him to negotiate the transfer of his client to the Stadio Olimpico. His statement was made in response to rumors of the player moving to the Biancocelesti this summer.

The Spanish winger joined Fiorentina on a free transfer one year ago but has struggled to adapt in Tuscany after scoring just one goal and providing one assist in 22 appearances in all competitions with La Viola.

Long before, Callejon had scored 42 goals in 146 matches with Napoli during his time under Maurizio Sarri and now the 62-year-old coach has been officially appointed to manage The Aquile and as a result, Callejon has been linked with a transfer to the Italian capital.

However, his agent, Manuel Garcia Quilon suppressed rumors about a possible transfer of the 34-year-old player to the Stadio Olimpico.

"This is not the right moment to discuss it, I have not been contacted by them," said the agent as quoted by LaLazioSiamoNoi.

In this summer's window, The Aquile were linked with the transfer of several players to strengthen their options for next season and adjust to the new system that will be implemented by the new coach, Maurizio Sarri which is completely different from the previous one, so it is expected that there will be several players who have to be released. and brought in this summer.
