Lazio One Step Closer To Secure Atletico Talleres Defender Service?

Lazio is reportedly just one step away from securing the services of Club Atletico Talleres defender Piero Hincapie this summer. The capital club is actively looking for additional options in their defense even this time outside Europe.

According to news reported by Argentine media, Lazio is one step away from securing the services of Club Atletico Talleres center-back, Piero Hincapie. The 19-year-old has already won three caps with the Ecuadorian senior team and can play at left-back, but his main position is center-back. The defender is tall and strong, he moved to Talleres from Independiente in August 2020.

Talleres president Andreas Fassi has revealed to El Desmarque that they are in advanced negotiations with an Italian club but did not name the club.

The latest news from the same media and Sportitalia revealed that it was The Aquile who managed to secure his contract by beating several other European clubs such as Atalanta, Roma, Bayern Munich, Celtic, Newcastle United, and Real Betis.

Piero Hincapie will be an impressive signing for the new coach of the Biancoceleste, Maurizio Sarri who will replace the old formation applied by Simone Inzaghi 3-5-2 to his preferred 4-3-3 formation. Further reports reveal that Club Atletico Talleres only owns 50 percent of Hincapie's appearance rights after paying 1 million euros from Independente del Valle last year.
