Bad news! New Case of Covid Found At Lazio Retreat

A new case of Covid was reportedly found at Lazio's retreat which happened to one of the Primavera players who trained with the main squad.  This makes all players have to undergo a swab test before facing the first friendly match in pre-season which took place last Saturday.

According to news reported by La Gazetta Dello Sport, a member of Lazio's Primavera team who trained with the first team tested positive for Covid, then the entire squad underwent a swab test ahead of a friendly against a local team, Radio Club 103 at Auronzo di Cadore, where the Biancoceleste started their pre-season last week.

Meanwhile, The Aquile has not confirmed the report which stated that one of the Primavera players had tested positive for the coronavirus. But  Antonio Troise was spotted leaving Auronzo by a car yesterday, so many fans suspect that he is the one the tested positive for Covid. Last season The Aquile had to deal with several cases of covid in his team that caused controversy.

An investigation was carried out whether there were indeed positive cases or inconclusive test results were not forwarded to the local health authorities so that players were allowed to take part in matches which certainly violated the health protocols agreed upon by the Serie A clubs. For this reason, the club president, Claudio Lotito must accept seven monthly sentences but The Aquile did not experience a point deduction.

Meanwhile, Maurizio Sarri's team continued to play friendly matches as scheduled and the Capital Eagles defeated local team Radio Club 103 with a convincing score of 10-0 on Saturday (17/07).
