Atalanta Target Manuel Lazzari To Replace Injured Hateboer

Atalanta is reportedly interested in signing Lazio full-back Manuel Lazzari to replace Hans Hateboer, who has suffered a long injury.  This condition forced Gian Piero Gasperini's team to look for other options and one of them was the Biancoceleste defender.

As reported by Italian newspaper Il Messaggero on Friday (13/08) morning local time, 27-year-old Hans Hateboer suffered a foot injury that will keep him out until at least early October, forcing Atalanta to look for a strong substitute at the end of this month.

Manuel Lazzari is said to have difficulty adapting in a four-man formation in defense that is considered perfect for the 3-5-2 system applied by Gian Piero Gasperini at Orobici.  This deal is considered a good Deal for Biancoceleste as it can help them to overcome liquidity ratio problems and allow them to start bringing in new players again.

Lazio wants at least 25 million euros for the services of the 27-year-old full-back from Italy who is still under contract with the Roma club until 2024.  Lazzari was also linked with a transfer to Simone Inzaghi's Inter earlier this summer, but the move never materialized so he had to adapt to Sarri's system.

Since being recruited from SPAL in the summer of 2019, the 27-year-old defender has become one of the regular players in the Simone Inzaghi era by making a total of 79 appearances and scoring three goals in all competitions.
