Cosenza Interested In Signing Marius Adamonis From Lazio This Summer

Serie B club Cosenza is reportedly interested in signing Lazio goalkeeper Marius Adamonis in this summer's market which will continue until the end of this month.  The goalkeeper has never once played for the capital club's first team in an official match.

According to news reported by Italian journalist Nicolo Schira via Twitter on Thursday (05/08) local time, Cosenza is interested in signing 24-year-old Lithuanian goalkeeper Marius Adamonis, who is currently with Lazio's first team undergoing a pre-season training session in Marienfeld, Germany.

Cosenza should have been relegated from Serie B last season but had the chance to stay in the Italian second division after Chievo Verona went bankrupt.  While negotiations between Biancoceleste and Il Lupi are ongoing, an agreement is likely to be reached soon.  The 24-year-old is contracted by The Aquile until next year in 2022.

Last season the Lithuanian goalkeeper went on loan with Serie B side Salernitana but made just three league appearances although he kept a clean sheet in all three of those games.

The sale of Adamonis is considered to be able to help The Aquile to bring in new players in the market this summer which is currently limited due to liquidity ratio problems experienced by the Italian capital club.  Meanwhile, in Maurizio Sarri's first team, two goalkeepers will take turns being the main goalkeepers, namely Thomas Strakosha and Pepe Reina.
