Milinkovic-Savic Becomes The Most Headed Goal-scorer In Serie A

Lazio star midfielder, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has scored the most headers in Serie A since he made his debut in 2015. The last time he did so was in the opener against Empoli last weekend.

As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere Dello Sport, Serbian midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has scored 12 headed goals since making his debut for Lazio in 2015, the most a midfielder has recorded to date.

The Biancoceleste midfielder is known for his physical strength from his height reaching 1.91 meters combined with his technical ability and impressive passing.  Milinkovic-Savic's latest goal with a header came in his side's opener in Serie A against Empoli last weekend.  The goal was the equalizer that turned things around after a less than convincing start at the Stadio Castellani.

The 26-year-old Serbian midfielder is a key player in Maurizio Sarri's squad and he looks set to shine under the 62-year-old Italian this season by confirming his status as one of the strongest midfielders in European football.

He was also a member of the Biancoceleste squad that won in the second week of the 2021/22 Serie A season by beating Spezia with a score of 6-1 in the match which took place on Saturday (28/08), although he had not succeeded in adding to his goal tally in that match.
