[SERIE A] Lazio - Cagliari = 2 - 2

Lazio's run has again stalled.  The Biancoceleste now drew 2-2 with Cagliari in the Italian League.

Lazio vs Cagliari which took place at the Olimpico, Rome.  Lazio led 1-0 before half-time through Ciro Immobile's header which met Sergej Milinkovic-Savic's cross.

Cagliari could only equalize the score to 1-1 when the second half had just been running for a matter of seconds.  Joao Pedro tore Pepe Reina's goal with a header after receiving the ball from Razvan Marin's pass.

Despite continuously pressing at home, Lazio was left behind in the 62nd minute.  It was Keita Balde who succeeded in bringing Cagliari back ahead 2-1 in the 62nd minute.  The former Lazio player scored after receiving pass from Joao Pedro.

Lazio had three opportunities that led to Cagliari's goal from the 65th to the 74th minute, namely through headers from Milinkovic-Savic, Luis Alberto, and Immobile.  All the chances were able to be countered by goalkeeper Alessio Crago.

Lazio's hard work just bore fruit in the 83rd minute.  Danilo Cataldi, who came on in the 65th minute, scored to make it 2-2.

Cagliari was down to 10 men in injury time.  Gabriele Zappa, who only came on in the second half, should be shown a yellow card twice

Although superior in the number of players, Lazio could not take advantage of the situation.  The score remained even until the game was over.

This result extends Lazio's winless record during Sarri's management.  They previously lost 0-2 to AC Milan in the Italian League and lost 0-1 to Galatasaray in the Europa League.

Lazio is currently in sixth place in the Italian League standings with seven points.  Cagliari is 18th with two points.
