Milinkovic-Savic Will Make Up For Next Match Against Inter After His Poor Form Against Bologna

Lazio midfielder, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has promised coach Maurizio Sarri a good response against Inter Milan on 16 October after the international break.

As reported by Italian newspaper Il Messaggero, 26-year-old Serbian midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic feels excited and ready to fight for Lazio's next match in Serie A against Simone Inzaghi's team, Inter Milan.

Milinkovic-Savic has apologized to coach Maurizio Sarri for his poor form in Biancoceleste's 3-0 defeat by Bologna in the last match and has promised to make up for it in his next match against the Nerazzuri.

Inter is one of the Serbian midfielder's favorite opponents, he has scored four goals against the Nerazzuri, the second most against the Aquile. While his first favorite opponent is Atalanta, where he has scored five goals in 12 meetings between the two teams.

While Inter CEO Beppe Marotta reportedly wants to bring the 26-year-old midfielder to Milan and this will be discussed further at the end of this season, now the Serbia international wants to be decisive and make the difference against Simone Inzaghi's side who are third in the standings of Serie A.

After dropping three points against Bologna in the previous matchday, the Biancoceleste have had to settle for staying in sixth place in the standings and want to return to winning ways to catch up with their rivals in the top four.
