[Serie A] Hellas Verona - Lazio = 4 - 1

October 25, 2021

Hellas Verona was able to beat Lazio on matchday 9 of the Italian League.  Giovanni Simeone scored four goals in this match and brought Hellas Verona to a 4-1 win over Lazio.

This match was held at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi, Sunday (24/10/2021).  Lazio is favored to get full points in this match but Hellas Verona does not want to give up and will trouble Lazio.

The Capital Eagles come with optimism and confidence after being able to win last week's match against Inter Milan.  Lazio managed to overthrow Inter, who are unbeaten in their first seven matches of the Italian League this season with a score of 3-1.

Maurizio Sarri's team wants to maintain consistency in the matches played in the Italian League this season.  Lazio had suffered an embarrassing defeat to Bologna in week 7 with a landslide score of 3-0.

With Lazio unbeaten in the last two matches, Immobile and colleagues are optimistic and confident to get points in this match.  Sarri also put his best squad from the early minutes of the match.

Meanwhile, Hellas Verona is still struggling to get points in every game to avoid the relegation zone.  Igor Tudor, who has just managed Hellas Verona in the 4th week, is still trying to bring the 1984/1985 Scudetto-winning team to a safe position from relegation.

Half an hour into the game, Simeone opened the scoring for the hosts with a right-footed strike which was followed by his second goal in the 36th minute with a long-range shot.

Lazio had a brilliant start to the second half when Immobile scored with their first strike, but Maurizio Sarri's side failed to continue their revival momentum.

Lazio's goal severed again in the 62nd minute through Simeone's narrow corner which later completed his 4th goal in the second minute of injury time to seal a 4-1 victory for Verona.

Verona pushed up to 11th place in the standings with 11 points, while Lazio (14) slipped to eighth.
