Ciro Immobile looked moved and couldn't hold back his tears after receiving the award after becoming Lazio's all-time leading goalscorer with 160 goals beating the previous record held by club legend Silvio Piola.

Ciro Immobile received a special award from Lazio after breaking the record for the top goalscorer in the history of the Italian capital club.  He scored 160 goals throughout his career with the Biancoceleste.

As reported by Football-Italia, club president, Claudio Lotito handed over a limited edition jersey framed on the pitch of the Olimpico stadium ahead of the match against Juventus on Saturday (20/11) local time.

The 31-year-old striker was moved and moved to tears when he looked at the Curva Nord and saw the giant picture of his face, as part of the choreography prepared by the Biancoceleste supporters for their favorite team's star player in honor of his achievement.

The fans also prepared a banner with the words: "Welcome to history."

He beat the previous record held by club legend Silvio Piola with his 159 goals.  While this season he has scored 10 goals in 11 appearances in Serie A and contributed two assists.

But unfortunately, he was unable to play in the match against Juventus due to a calf injury and was unable to help his team from the 2-0 defeat against the Bianconeri.  But the good news is he is ready to return to training on Monday and is likely to start the match against Lokomotiv Moscow next week.

The club did not want to take the risk of over-employing their star player and he was given a few days to continue his recovery process.
