[Europa League] Lokomotiv Moscow - Lazio = 0 - 3

Lazio successfully beat Lokomotiv Moscow with a 3-0 score in matchday 5 of the 2021/22 Europa League group stage which was held at the RZD Arena.

Ciro Immobile became the star of Lazio's victory by netting two goals, both from the penalty spot. Pedro completes Lazio's victory to be 3-0.

Thanks to this result, Lazio is now ranked second in Group E standings with 8 points, while ensuring qualification to the knockout round. Meanwhile, Lokomotiv slumped to the bottom with 2 points.

The top of the standings gets an automatic ticket to the round of 16 while the 2nd place will have a play-off match against the 3rd place in the 2021/2022 Champions League group. The winner of Group E will be determined on matchday 6 between Lazio vs Galatasaray. Lazio needs a 1-0 win to win the group and qualify automatically for the last 16.

The match was fairly even at the start of the first half. Both Lokomotiv and Lazio took turns having chances, but neither scored yet. The 0-0 score lasted until halftime.
