Lazio President Ready To Offer Sarri A New Contract Until 2025

Lazio is reportedly planning to tie coach Maurizio Sarri to a new contract until June 2025 as soon as possible.  President Claudio Lotito reportedly will soon hold a meeting with the 62-year-old coach.

Relations between Lazio and Maurizio Sarri appear to have begun to develop in the Italian capital and La Gazzetta Dello Sport reveals that club president, Claudio Lotito is delighted to be working with the Italian coach for a longer time.

The former Napoli and Juventus coach had previously signed a two-year contract last summer but the Biancoceleste are reportedly convinced by the 62-year-old's performance.  Lotito wanted a four-year contract with Sarri last July and his results on the pitch have convinced the club's owners to start thinking about a contract extension.

Sarri has started rejuvenating the Serie A club's old squad with an average age of 29 and the newspaper further revealed that Lotito would like to meet and discuss a possible contract extension until 2025 as soon as possible.

The Aquile are currently in sixth place in the Serie A standings with 18 points from 11 matches and are ready for their Europa League fourth-round match against Olympique Marseille on Thursday night tomorrow.

Currently, the Italian capital team is in second place in Group E and a win at the Stade Velodrome will see them go further in the knockout stages of the 2021/22 Europa League competition.
