Lazio midfielder, Toma Basic called for his team to grow after a 4-4 draw against Udinese in the match which took place last Thursday (02/12) night.

Toma Basic discussed Lazio's appearance when held to a draw by his guests, Udinese in the Serie A match last Thursday night.  The 25-year-old Croatian said the match was very complicated and his team had to settle for just one point.

"Today was a very complicated match, after going behind twice we had the power to react and turn things around," he said via Lazio Style Channel.

"Unfortunately we couldn't win because the comeback is something positive."

The Lazio midfielder took positive things even though the disappointing final result had to be accepted by his team.

"This is football and nights like this can happen, but the important thing is the mentality to play in a game like this," he explained.

"We experienced it against Atalanta, I thought at the time my assist could help us get the three points but it didn't happen."

Finally, Basic talks about how important it is for his team to grow and prepare for their next match against Sampdoria.

"Our problems have to do with various things, from a mental point of view we have to grow, and the great thing about football is that you can change things every day," he said.

"We will do it against Sampdoria, try to get the three points there."

Basic is contracted to the Biancoceleste until 2026 and so far he has made 14 appearances in all competitions for the 2021/22 season, playing 535 minutes in total.  In that period he has scored one goal and contributed two assists.
