Montpellier's Ryan Bakayoko Monitored By Lazio

Lazio's sporting director, Igli Tare, has reportedly started monitoring Ligue 1 club Montpellier's young player, Ryan Bakayoko. The club from Rome is interested in securing his services in the next summer market.

According to reports by French media, FootMercato revealed that Lazio is closely monitoring the development of 19-year-old Frenchman Ryan Bakayoko ahead of the summer window when his contract with Montpellier expires. Maurizio Sarri's team wants to add strength to their attack line.

Bakayoko has yet to feature for Montpellier's first team but he has impressed with their B team, scoring eight goals and contributing one assist in 12 appearances this season. He also shows maturity in terms of physical strength, with a height of 196 cm and a weight of 85 kg.

The Biancoceleste are not alone in monitoring Bakayoko's services as Premier League side Brighton does too, so they will most likely have to compete with the south English club to secure his services this summer. The possibility of getting a chance to play with the first team might convince the player to move to Roma.

Developments regarding his possible transfer are expected in the coming months. The Aquile are taking their time to evaluate the player more. Currently, they have two young players included in the first team namely, Raul Moro and Luca Romero.
