Zaccagni Is One Of The Most Fouled Players In Serie A

Lazio midfielder, Mattia Zaccagni is one of the most fouled players in Serie A throughout 2021.  Overall he has been fouled 92 times while playing at Hellas Verona and currently The Aquile.  He has shown brilliant performances with his new team despite difficulties at first.

According to reports by Sky Sports Italia, 26-year-old Italian midfielder Mattia Zaccagni has suffered 92 fouls throughout 2021, while playing with Hellas Verona and in the first half of the season with Lazio.

The Biancoceleste midfielder is fourth in the list of most players in Serie A. Joao Pedro of Cagliari (107) is followed by Dusan Vlahovic of Fiorentina (98) and Torino star Andrea Belotti (96).

Mattia Zaccagni, who joined The Aquile on a loan with the obligation of buy on the last day of last summer's window from Hellas Verona, has made 16 appearances in all competitions so far in the 2021 season. In that period he has scored two goals and provided three assists, proving his quality in the competition to coach Maurizio Sarri.

Previously the 26-year-old midfielder had difficulty adapting at Lazio due to several injuries, but now he is starting to shine under the 62-year-old Italian coach.  The latest news as reported by La Repubblica, Zaccagni is one of the players who missed Lazio's first training session at Formello.

Further reports reveal that the midfielder has just spent the Christmas holidays in Dubai with his girlfriend, Chiara Nasti, and it is reported that the two are currently in isolation there, meaning they may have tested positive for Covid although it has not been confirmed or denied.  Because it seems that the player is unlikely to miss training just because he wants to extend his vacation abroad.
