Becir Omeragic Is Monitored By Lazio

Lazio is reportedly starting to monitor FC Zurich defender, Becir Omeragic ahead of the opening of the next summer market.  The Italian capital club wants to strengthen their defense going into next season.

According to reports by Italian media, Calciomercato revealed that Lazio is aware that they will have to rebuild their defense in the summer so they are starting to monitor some potential targets to be fully prepared.

One of the players monitored by the Biancoceleste is 20-year-old Becir Omeragic who is contracted by FC Zurich until 2023.  The player plays as a central defender who can also be played as a right-back if needed which makes him the versatile player of choice for coach Maurizio Sarri.

The transfer value of the Swiss defender is around € 7 million but that could change in the next few months, especially if The Aquile's interest in signing him is getting more serious.  So far Omeragic has made 21 appearances in the 2021/22 Super League season.  in that period he contributed one assist and helped his team keep seven clean sheets.

Meanwhile, the defensive performance of Maurizio Sarri's team in the last few matches, especially in the league, has shown significant progress by keeping four clean sheets in the last four matches.  Last weekend they beat Bologna 3-0 and certainly want to extend their record in this weekend's match against Udinese in Serie A.
