Sarri: "Every Team Has Characteristics, You Can't Clone Players Or Train Them All In The Same Way, Napoli Has Better Quality In Passing, So No Doubt Lazio Has Different Characteristics."

Maurizio Sarri admits he is worried and confused by Lazio's 4-0 defeat to Milan in the quarter-finals which took place on Wednesday (09/02) evening local time at the San Siro.

Lazio kept four clean sheets in all competitions before the match against Milan at the San Siro but have conceded four goals without reply in just one game.  They were already 3-0 down at half-time through Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud's brace.  Franck Kessie added the hosts' fourth when Daniel Maldini's free-kick bounced at him and he scored from ten yards.

"We were beaten, hopefully, it's a physical problem and a result of fatigue because if it's a mental problem then it's more worrying," Sarri said via Sport Mediaset.

"We have been playing quite consistently in the last few games, but tonight we have experienced a decline as we used to, in the last few months we have managed to get rid of those ups and downs, although tonight's game was difficult I expect a different form from us."

"It seems we've started sharp both physically and mentally of late, so this performance confused me and I hope it's just for a little while and we can bounce back."

Despite showing good performances in the last few matches, the Biancoceleste will never be able to match Sarri's team, Napoli.

"Every team has characteristics, you can't clone players or train them all in the same way, Napoli has better quality in passing, so no doubt Lazio has different characteristics."

"Not that tonight's performance is the real Lazio either."

And to make things even worse, Ciro Immobile has injured his right ankle.

"It's an injury to the top of his foot and ankle, we'll see how it goes tomorrow."
