Sarri: "The Previous Two Games Against Udinese This Season Showed That It Will Be A Tough Test, They Always Make It Difficult For Us, Now We Will See If We Have Made Progress."

Maurizio Sarri wants the same character, determination, and approach from Lazio as shown against FC Porto, but does not want to repeat the same mistake against Udinese in Serie A which will take place on Sunday (20/02) evening local time.

Lazio opened the scoring in the first leg of their Europa League play-off against FC Porto on Thursday night but went home with a 2-1 loss.  This time they focused on the league competition again by facing Udinese, Ciro Immobile should be able to return to play after experiencing a fever.  But unfortunately, the Biancoceleste have always struggled after playing in European competitions this season.

"We need the same character, determination, and approach that was shown against Porto, but the Europa League is a different tournament," Sarri told Lazio Style Channel.

"Now we must have the strength to focus on Serie A, avoiding the repeated mistakes we have made this season after European games."

The Biancoceleste will have a match against the Bianconeri on Sunday evening as kick-off in Portugal takes place in the evening.  This condition made the coach change their travel plans.

"It's very inconvenient for us to return to Rome in such a short time, so we prefer to stay in Portugal and rest for a few hours, hopefully, this can help us recover," he explained.

"The previous two games against Udinese this season showed that it will be a tough test, they always make it difficult for us and we are currently in a classic situation where we always slip after European games.

"The difficulty of this match is clear, now we will see if we have made progress."
