Good News, Lazzari Already Back On Training And Will Play Against Venezia


Lazio has good news after Manuel Lazzari's recovery from injury went well and the defender could return to action right in the match against Venezia. The Italy international is one of the regulars of Maurizio Sarri's team.


According to reports by Italian newspaper Il Messaggero, 28-year-old Italian full-back Manuel Lazzari picked up a hamstring injury during a 3-0 win over Bologna which forced him to miss Lazio's several games.


Lazzari is making good progress in his recovery from his injury and he has started running again in the Biancoceleste training session at Formello combining training on the pitch as well as the gym. While the full defender is targeted to be fit in time for the derby against Roma on March 20. Now there is a chance that the former SPAL player will return to play for the match against Venezia on March 14.


So far he has made 29 appearances in all competitions in the 2021/22 season, playing 1386 minutes in total. In that period he has scored two goals and contributed one assist and slowly became one of the players that Maurizio Sarri trusted.


Meanwhile, after being eliminated from the Europa League competition, now The Aquile will be fully focused on the Serie A competition and will try to finish in the top four of the standings, now they are in seventh position and seven points behind fourth-placed, Juventus.
