Luka Romero Has Impressed In Training With Argentina Senior Team

Luka Romero has impressed in training with the Argentine first team and it is seen as a sign of his development at Lazio this season. This is the 17-year-old first called up to Lionel Scaloni's team.

Luka Romero joined Lazio last summer for a relatively cheap deal, with the Italian capital club paying just €200,000 to RCD Mallorca. With four Serie A appearances so far in the 2021/22 season, he is one of Serie A's most promising talents.

As Corriere della Sera reports, Romero was called up by coach Lionel Scaloni on this international break and allowed to play alongside Lionel Messi among other Star players training together. He played well in the regular first-team and impressed many other players.

The young Biancoceleste talent is very excited to be able to meet face-to-face with seven-time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi at the Argentine training center.  He also uploaded a photo of himself with the Paris Saint-Germain star via his personal Instagram and wrote a sentence that reads "Together with the best."

While at club level, Maurizio Sarri is a huge admirer of the 17-year-old due to his dedication, application of his tactics, and technical qualities, believing he will be a key part of The Aquile's future.  He is ready to put more faith in the forward and this could result in more consistent minutes towards the end of the season.
