Toma Basic doesn't think things have been easy at Lazio lately, but he's determined not to give up anytime soon. He put on another impressive display last weekend when his team drew against Torino.

Croatian midfielder Toma Basic, 25, was instrumental in Lazio's 1-1 draw with Torino last weekend, helping Immobile equalize in stoppage time. His fitness and ball-handling skills are very useful, but 2022 will also be a difficult year for the midfielder.

As LazioNews24 reports, Basic has had a tough time of late, with the Croatian midfielder struggling to find his place in Maurizio Sarri's side. The Italian coach hinted that he is the future of the Biancoceleste, having started well at the Stadio Olimpico but this time it has gone downhill.

The 25-year-old admitted he struggled following last weekend's draw with Torino, but refused to give up, reiterating his desire to redeem himself and his desire to grow. He is a strong professional who wants to learn under Maurizio Sarri and his future is on his side.

"I'm glad Sarri sees me as the future. It gave me a lot of motivation. The last time was not easy for me physically. But, now I'm getting back in shape and starting my path again." The midfielder spoke into the microphone of Lazio-style radio after the final whistle Lazio-Torino.

Meanwhile, the current Biancoceleste have not given up on securing a place in Europe Competition, they are now seventh in the table and host AC Milan at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday night.
