Kepa Arrizabalaga Has Reportedly Contacted Maurizio Sarri To Discuss A Move To Lazio

Chelsea goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga has reportedly contacted Maurizio Sarri to discuss a move to Lazio this summer. The two work together when the Italian coach handles the blues.

Spanish goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, 27, has had a difficult season in England recently after being sidelined following the arrival of Edouard Mendy in 2020. He has only played four Premier League games in the 2021/22 season and is a potential move from Chelsea this summer.

According to Il Messaggero, Kepa has contacted Maurizio Sarri about a move to Lazio, with the Blues reportedly ready to loan him out, with the Spaniard willing to take a pay cut to join the Italian capital this summer club.

Biancoceleste can take advantage of the situation and press Atalanta to be ready to lower the price of Marco Carnesecchi, or they can turn around and proceed with a move for Kepa.

Kepa and Sarri were briefly involved in a heated row in the Carabao Cup final on February 24, 2019, when the Spaniard refused to be substituted in the last minute of extra time. This incident made the coach very disturbed and even had time to break into the stadium before finally calming down. The goalkeeper then appeared to explain that the pair resolved the issue swiftly and professionally, although Blues fans believed it sparked a major altercation.
