Lazio Has Reached An Agreement With Hellas Verona For Nicolo Casale

Lazio has reportedly reached an agreement with Verona for the transfer of Nicolo Casale in this summer's market. The final details are yet to be discussed again. Maurizio Sarri's side needs to add new defenders and Casale is one of their targets.

Lazio has reportedly been eyeing 24-year-old Italian center-back Nicolo Casale for the past few months and even wanted to sign him in January before agreeing to return to work this summer. The player is very comfortable with the ball at his feet and is involved in the attacking process, making him a perfect fit for Lazio's Sarri system.

According to sources from Il Messaggero, Biancoceleste has agreed to pay Hellas Verona a transfer fee of €8 million, plus a €2 million bonus for Casale's services. Final details are currently being worked out and elements of the deferred payment are being discussed and will be finalized as soon as possible.

Casale is looking to quickly learn from Sarri in pre-season training at Auronzo Di Cadore ahead of next season, with the defender playing an important role in the 4-3-3 attacking system.

Under coach Igor Tudor last season, the 24-year-old had two assists in 36 Serie A appearances and has been exceptional in attacking creativity and attacking contributions every 90 minutes. Contributed about 1.11 shots on average at play.
