[Official] Radu Will Retire At The End Of His Contract With Lazio

This will be the last year for Stefan Radu as a football player. The defender has renewed his contract until 2023, and when his contract ends, he will be saying goodbye to this sport.

A piece of news that changed the afternoon for Lazio and, in a way, an unexpected one, with Radu living with an eagle on his chest for all 15 years at Lazio. Here's what he said at the end of today's practice session:

"Thank you to everyone who gave me this opportunity. At the end of the season, 99 percent of the time I will leave football and I hope to do that by achieving something important. This club has grown so fast and this year we have an important transfer window."

Radu joined Lazio from Dinamo FC in 2008. Radu made 423 appearances in all competitions for Lazio, making him the all-time record holder for most appearances.

He was part of the team that won three Coppa Italia and three Italian Super Cups. No matter who the manager is, he has become a key player for the club. However, he has rarely played lately, as many younger players are stronger and more productive.
