Valencia's Official Offer For Hysaj Is Still Below Lotito's Request, Negotiation Is Still On Going

Valencia has reportedly made their first concrete offer for Lazio left-back Elseid Hysaj this summer. The defender is believed to have failed to deliver impressive performances in his first season at the Olimpico.

Albania defender Elseid Hysaj has reportedly attracted interest from La Liga giants Valencia, who want to sign him this summer. The defender has often failed to impress in his debut season at Lazio, losing to Adam Marusic and Stefan Radu. At the same time, Maurizio Sarri is looking to add depth to his squad and it is clear that the left-back position is one of his biggest weaknesses at the moment.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Los Che has offered 3 million euros for Hysaj, less than 2 million euros away from the price set by the Biancoceleste. Negotiations are still ongoing, with both sides seeking a deal, and the departure of the Albanian will make room for a replacement.

The 28-year-old defender joined the Biancoceleste on a free transfer last summer after his contract with Napoli expired. He signed a four-year contract with Lazio but his first season was seen as a disappointment.

Meanwhile, Gattuso has worked closely with the defender during his time at Napoli and hopes familiar players will accompany him on his new adventures in Spain. Last season, Hysaj played 38 games in all competitions, with a total of 2,609 minutes of playing time, during which he scored 1 goal.
