Romagnoli Has Proven His Quality As A Leader At Lazio's Defence

Alessio Romagnoli has quickly adapted to his new club Lazio and has emerged as a key leader in Maurizio Sarri's squad. The Italy international defender is one of the key players in the club's defense in the Italian capital in 2022/23.

On a free transfer from Milan last July, Italian defender Alessio Romagnoli, 27, is finally able to join the club he has supported since he was a child. He has been outstanding in all Aquile games so far, starting six in Serie A and Europa League.

As Il Messaggero reports, Romagnoli impressed Maurizio Sarri and he quickly became the leader of the Biancoceleste defense. The 27-year-old excels at reading the game, running defenses, and consistently delivering great performances.

Sarri is likely to start The Aquile's next game against Verona, although he could be rested for next week's Europa League tie against Midtjylland, leaving room for Mario Gila or Nicolo Casale.

Before, his time at Milan ended due to injury, but since then the center-back has remained injury-free at Lazio. Romagnoli hoped to play at his best in the Olimpico, and he plans to do so against Verona on Sunday. The Italian capital club hopes to continue the winning momentum from last week's match against Feyenoord in the Europa League.
