Sarri: "We're Just Getting Started. We Played On A Great Pitch Today And When We Played At Home We Couldn't Get The Results We Achieved Today."

Maurizio Sarri was pleased with the performance he saw from Lazio in a 2-0 win over Atalanta in Bergamo on Sunday night (23/10). The Italian capital's club won the game without the main striker Immobile. Now the coach is thinking about next Thursday's Europa League game against FC Midtjylland.

Lazio scored an important point in their last game at Bergamo on Sunday, an impressive performance even without star striker Ciro Immobile. Mattia Zaccagni and Felipe Anderson both scored victories for his side and they will be confident ahead of their Europa League clash

After Sunday's game, Sarri first spoke about the concept of utopia and Biancoceleste's chances of challenging the Serie A title.

"The Scudetto? It's like a utopia, we've only played 11 games, we have to stay calm, it's a good game against a good team," he said of La Lazio Siamo Noi.

"We have to recalibrate everything at midnight and think about the Europa League." He then commented on how the team has performed without star striker Immobile and whether the win at Atalanta was his team's best game he has seen so far.

"It's been a successful month for many, six months for some, nine months for the winner. We're just getting started."

"We also played well in Fiorentina, last year it was even better. We played on a great pitch today and when we played at home we couldn't get the results we achieved today."

The 63-year-old coach then sent a message to his players.

"We go to bed and think about Thursday's game, not tonight. We played a good game, but if we're happy tomorrow, it means we're going to play a happy game on Thursday, and in the end, we will be satisfied."
